Holiday Inn Express & Suites Merced - Yosemite Natl Park Area by IHG

Stay here frequently traveling for work, the rooms are always clean and they have a real free breakfast which really helps me get an early start on my work day. The only down side to this hotel is really location. If you get a room on the end towards the freeway, especially if it is the Southwest corner of the hotel, you will hear traffic all night. If you get a room on the Northeast corner, it's great.

The negative: We arrived late and really tired and upon check-in there was an immediate issue - they gave our room to someone else. This is an issue when you have more than four people. Three-bed rooms are not plentiful. The "fix" was to split our family into two rooms so my wife and I had to sleep in separate rooms splitting up our kids. Not exactly ideal. We went to the rooms to disperse bags between the time and take showers to go to bed. Then one of the shower pull knobs was broken so the shower didn't work so we ended up back in one room to take showers. Frustrating first-world problems. The positive: With an absolutely less than stellar experience - I have to commend the gal checking us in, realizing the issue, staying calm and professional through our tired frustration. Staying here with my family in a two bed room and it is really spacious and clean. It has so many resources for you such as bathroom supplies, iron, pillows, etc. Including breakfast in morning, Maria provides amazing service and the food is so good! She always makes sure everything is stocked and ready. Thank you so much Maria!

We paid a fair price to stay in this lovely hotel. It was worth it. We were treated with friendliness, smiling, happy faces. They were professional, yet approachable. They went above and beyond to accommodate us when we needed a different type of wheelchair accessible room. They made sure we were comfortable and happy. They were personable. The room was spacious enough for my wheelchair as was the bathroom. The shower was easy for me to get into and out of easily. The water pressure was perfect and felt great. The roll away bed we used was also comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and had a nice variety. We ate well. Overall, this property is a strong positive in our book and we recommend it to everyone who is looking for a good experience for the price. You’ll be pleasantly surprise

I stay at his hotel frequently,both for business and personal reasons. I'm always greeted with such kindness and professionalism. It's nice to walk into a place and they remember who I am. Breakfast is always on point with Maria. She's welcoming and pleasant. She keeps everything well stocked with a variety of foods such as omelets, biscuits and gravy, potatoes and sausage or bacon. Coffee is always hot and full and the cinnamon rolls are a nice little breakfast bonus.
