Ramada by Wyndham Hammond Hotel & Conference Center

Conflicted. Staff was great, but hotel was tired. The lobby and room were dark like a cave. Our room carpet was sticky, smelly, and terribly spotted. Breakfast wasn't great. Pool looked nice. Safety was iffy as the doors to outside the courtyard weren't ever locked.

Came here after a long road trip from TX to Wisconsin and heading back down to Kentucky. The room first off was way overpriced. It was more like a Super 8 type of room. The front desk guy was super cool but upon getting to my room the cable didn't work. Only a few channels. So they moved me to another room and none of the channels worked on that TV. So for a third time I got moved and finally the channel's worked fine. After an hour of being moved around I finally could relax a bit until I realized my feet were almost pitch black from the floor. Gross. The bed was okay and sheets were clean. Plenty of towels and soaps and shampoos. The area is very sketchy. Of course it's the east side of Chicago but I wouldn't bring family here. The negative reviews are overstated in my opinion. The hotel is old and worn from age. Old carpet, small TV, dated bathroom fixtures. I would say it’s probably a 2-star hotel because of this… Besides this, I thought the hotel was clean, my room linens were very new/clean, the breakfast (continental)/coffee was good, the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for an event and it was a great experience! The rooms were really clean and the staff was very friendly. I didnt catch the ladies name but she was helping with the breakfast area both mornings we were there and probably the most friendly and helpful worker ive ever experienced in a hotel setting! She was so helpful and nice! The area wasnt nearly as bad as what some people put in the comments but I guess it depends on what youre used to. There is plenty of restaurants close by and a bowling alley/sports bar across the street. Its only 10min drive to the Civic Center and about 30min to Chicago. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return if we are back in the area!

It’s always staying @Ramada in Hammond Indiana Hotel, the staff is always busy and very nice, security is awesome & the manager Mrs.Christine Cash is Thee Best& I would always recommend friends & family there, clean, quiet & great staff& the continental breakfast is very good & they keep it very nice & clean!!
