Motel 6 Hammond, IN - Chicago Area

My stay here was mainly for work, so reliable WiFi mattered. The connection supported video meetings without interruptions. Housekeeping kept the room neat each day. The overall management appeared organized.

Positive: The day I had to check out. Negative: The room provided looked like someone was laying in the bed minutes before we entered the room. They have bedbugs and roaches. There wasn’t a microwave or fridge in the room. The guest service was mediocre. Lawrence and River Road by far a 10.

Check-in was easy as I had used a discount site to place the room. The room wasn't big, but large enough. It had wifi, and cable, that was about it no hair drier, shampoo or microfridge. The bed was comfortable and the Hvac worked well. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. It was an itchy nightmare. The first night we saw a handful of roaches just coming out of the wood works. The second night I saw more. They even have small baby roaches. I mentioned it to the man at the front desk and he ignored me. He didn’t even say sorry or would you like me to change your room or anything? It’s like as if it was normal. Then when I spoke to the lady at the front desk, she said she can move my room, but basically she said like you get what you pay for and I thought that was crazy because that means it’s OK for you guys to be this dirty. I get that some people can’t help but to stay and afford the rooms that they can, but my child is poor and I could not have her in that type of place. I checked out of my room at 8 AM when it

Not a bad hotel for the price the room was very, very clean. The beds were made. I have no complaints about the place at all. The only two things that were wrong were the toilet was a little loose and the phone in the room didn't work? But that's not a big thing. Overall, this is one of the best hotel sixes.I've stayed at in a while
