Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hammond by IHG

Positive: proximity to Chicago,Friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff. The breakfasts were pretty good, always hot, and one didn’t need to ask for anything (everything was there) Negative: gas smell in bathroom 24/7 that was likely a plumbing issue (venting??), and the carpet in the room felt very dirty and tacky to bare feet

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, Hammond Ind. The Hotel was beautiful with nice wide hallways and large clean rooms. The alert at check-in, Eligia, was wonderful. He was welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area. It was nice to see someone who appears to really like the job and enjoys working with people. The hotel is located with easy access to food and entertainment. The view out the back of the hotel is beautiful. Parking is plentiful. We will stay there again.

Place was okay. They were short on towels but it was a holiday weekend. Had a Big blood stain on the side of the mattress and on a Big dark stain on the carpet in the same area. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful

I was in town for final exams at the PNW campus and was very pleased with my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive throughout my visit. The breakfast spread offered a nice variety of options. The location is also ideal—conveniently close to the highway and campus, with several dining options nearby, including a brewery. If you find yourself in the Hammond area, I would recommend considering this hotel for your lodging needs.

AVOID THE HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!!!!! The only thing that is worth it, was Aviyonce, who is the 2nd shift front desk attendant!! She’s amazing and deserves a raise for all the crap she has to put up with!! I checked into my room on Monday and the entire room was filthy. Carpets not vaccumed, not dusted, linen slept in and filthy and had remnants of last guest in the bed, bloody sheets, dirty pillowcases full of hair grease, was switched to 2nd room and it was exactly the same as the 1st room!! I had to make my own beds, and clean the entire room!! I reached out to manager 3X and he refuses to contact me back!! And they double charged my 2 rooms!! Worst hotel I’ve ever been to!! If I could give 0 stars, I would!!! The elevator stopped working and we were on 3rd floor and in a wheel chair and ha
