Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Southeast/Hammond, IN

The hotel was great..recently renovated. Rooms were modern, fresh and clean. The staff is super friendly..especially Jessica for letting us check in early, cleaning staff Lana and Bartender Amarisse! Only 6 minutes from Hard Rock Casino..Highly recommend.

We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Hammond Indiana from 9/29/23 to 10/3/23. We're loyal Marriott customers, but this stay didn't measure up to Courtyard's standards. (We realize that the hotel is in the middle of being redecorated, but our problems had nothing to do with that.)||We checked in at midnight on Friday after a long flight delay. The bartender in the "bistro" told us that breakfast would be served until 11am on Saturday. However, the next day they closed at 10am and we missed breakfast. Would it have killed him to consult some official listing of their hours, instead of just guessing? (However, many thanks to the guy who took pity on us on Saturday and got us some cereal and fruit and leftover coffee, even though they were officially closed.)||Speaking of cereal, how is it

The main reason we chose the Courtyard by Marriott was for the indoor pool, so I was extremely disappointed to find that the water was ice cold. If a hotel advertises an indoor pool, it should be kept at a comfortable temperature, and because of this issue I can’t give a higher rating. I also purchased a breakfast sandwich for nearly $12, and unfortunately it wasn’t worth the price. You’re better off saving your money and walking next door to Cracker Barrel. On a positive note, the hotel itself was very clean. The housekeeping staff were super friendly and clearly do an excellent job. The front desk staff were also pleasant and welcoming. am very unsatisfied with my experiences at the Courtyard Marriott in Hammond, Indiana, specifically due to repeated issues with a front desk receptionist named Joseph. During my first stay in December, I was overcharged for my room. Joseph assured me that a refund had been processed, which later turned out to be untrue. I never received the refund and had to escalate the matter to the general manager to get it resolved. That alone caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Unfortunately, my most recent stay was even worse. Joseph attempted to check me in under a different reservation number and under another person’s name, despite my name being clearly on my reservation. He then added my phone number to someone else’s Marriott Bonvoy account, which is a serious concern regarding guest
