Ramada by Wyndham Anchorage Downtown

Friendly staff for a substandard facility. This Ramada has fallen into disrepair and minimal maintenance. Our room had a portable air conditioner permanently installed through the wall and barely functional circulation fan making terrible noises. They is no toilet paper fixture or toilet paper supplied in the room.||We attempted breakfast and were greatly disappointed. Lukewarm coffee, no orange juice, old waffle batter, lack of hygienic utensils for boiled eggs, Jimmy Dean sandwiches left out at room temperature. ||The staff are friendly and responsive.

**Unsafe! Stay anywhere else** I attempted to stay at this hotel today before my flight out. I called the front desk around 1pm to see if I could get an early check in, she said sure. I arrived around 30 minutes later. There were two sketchy looking guys hanging out in the parking lot. I go to enter the lobby and the door is locked. There’s a sign that says you must use a room key or knock for the front desk to let you in. I knock, repeatedly. I can see there is no one at the desk. I call; no answer. It’s 9° outside. One of the sketchy guys pulls a room key out to try to let me in but it doesn’t work. Finally after 10-15 minutes someone walks out from the lobby so I’m able to get inside. There are 5-6 people sitting in the small lobby, 2 of whom are passed out on the couch. I ring the bel

Positive: "" Negative: The hotel was dirty and run down. The room was awful. The bed was tiny and uncomfortable. The bathroom was dirty, with broken tiles and shower. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel looks dilapidated. Some staff need to smile once in a while. Breakfast is very poor. The airport shuttle vehicle looks almost a wreck but convenient. They ignored my first shuttle booking but luckily I checked the next day. The room is dated and has excess furniture. Having said all this, the room was comfortable and the bathroom adequate including toiletries. Location seems safe - we walked most of the time - nearest restaurants are 10 to 15 minutes walk away. Room rates were reasonable. All in all we enjoyed our stay in Anchorage.

I had an amazing stay during my halloween weekend trip. Not only were the staff super sweet and very professional, they also helped me with any questions I had. Teh rooms were amazing though they could use a TP holder but it didn't cause any issues. I will be be staying there again next time I'm up there. ALSO shootout to the awesome and super sweet front desk lady who made that beautiful succulent bowl on the front desk and all the beautiful plants she has around there and takes care of.
