I chose this hotel mainly for its convenient location. The staff I interacted with were polite and helpful, which I appreciated. However, the hotel recently changed its name, and it feels like it reopened before being fully ready. The property is very worn, and my first room was not clean, so I had to switch rooms. I also had issues with the elevators, including getting stuck, which was concerning. I was hoping to speak with a manager during my stay, but one was not available at the time. Overall, I feel the hotel should have completed renovations before reopening under a new name. Because of the condition of the rooms and facilities, I would likely choose a different hotel in the future, despite the good location.

This was absolutely the worst Holiday Inn we have ever stayed at. Upon arrival was told that if you were lucky enough to get a spot on the street next to the hotel it was free. The lot next to it had different rates for different lengths of stay. We were there for 2 nights and for 24 hours it was $15.49 and fir 48 hours it jumped to $157.00. We got lucky and got street parking on the 2nd night. The room was quite warm and the thermostat could not be adjusted. TV remote was missing. Cord to connect phone to jack was broken. Only one side of bathroom mirror had a light bulb. Area around toilet was filthy. All was told to at front desk both days without desk doing anything. I finally found a maintenance man and he brought us a fan and a TV remote. He also got hold of housekeeping to bring us

The front desk staff was amazing, but the hotel and rooms, not so much. Our first room had an awful smell, was missing carpet, didn’t look clean, had empty soap and shampoo containers, etc. After mentioning this to the front desk, she was apologetic and immediately moved us to a different room. This room was better, but obviously had not been cleaned well. There were pretzel sticks on the headboard, stains on a pillowcase (sheets appeared clean and we bring our own pillows), holes in the closet doors, and a missing peephole that we shoved toilet paper in so someone couldn’t see into the room. We were also told that no breakfast would be served due to a low amount of guests. Housekeeping was nonexistent and we had to ask for soap, towels, Kleenex, etc.

We checked into our first room and immediately found the toilet was broken and wouldn’t flush properly. The phone in the room didn’t work either, so we had to physically go back down to the front desk to report it. They said they would send maintenance. When maintenance came, the employee smelled so strongly of marijuana that after she left, we had to spray the room and step out because the smell was overwhelming. She said the toilet was fixed, it flushed once, and then immediately stopped working again. We were told we had to switch rooms. The elevators feel unsteady and sketchy, which makes moving floors even worse. In the second room, it was obvious it had not been properly cleaned. The bathroom was dirty, and there were what looked like pubic hairs stuck to the ceiling above the showe

Cons: This place rips off customers. Immediate neighborhood is sketchy. (see below) Pros: The staff were nice, the room & furniture were clean, the hotel was clean. I slept fine. It's right next door to the convention center-- 5m walk to front entrance, though the walk is 2 blocks down a dark & dirty street. Cons: * Breakfast was total rip off. I was told breakfast was included, but they charged me $19, but it was standard budget food. Stale scrambled eggs (brown yolks? Maybe not fresh eggs? Dehydrated eggs?), coffee creamer was a single squirt bottle of cheap nestle vanilla creamer-- no milk, no soymilk, etc. Price was not advertised up front. A dishonest practice. Management should be ashamed. Convention was full of government employees, and this business inflated their prices. * Hot
