Customer Reviews
Great Customer service, clean rooms and a hot shower, wifi and Roku tv makes it comfortable . In the lobby they have a kitchen and refrigerator. A place to cook and family time. Also, coffee is offered and it was really tasty. This is a great place to stay.
I booked this place through Hostelworld app. I love staying at hostels. Theyre affordable, tend to be more friendly, and you always meet the coolest people. My stay here was absolutely no different. Everyone I talked to was friendly and helpful. Free coffee in the morning was a huge plus. The room was clean, bigger than I expected, and had everything I needed. I am obsessed with the shower. The water came from the ceiling rather than the side and the circular style lent to more room to move around then your standard shower and bathtub. I will 100% be staying here again when I return to Alaska and will recommend to everyone who comes out here. The hotel is located in midtown which is very close to the public library, various museums, and most of the best restaurants in Anchorage.
Jennifer - blonde lady at the receptionist is rude, unprofessional, and will retaliate or black list you off a whim. She goes off of her feelings versus true logic and does not have any type of good customer service. How she still is there is beyond me. Owner must really like all the negativity she brings. The night security does nothing besides sleep comfortably at night, there is no free food besides the one they let people STEAL from the shared fridge, and no care in the world to make clients comfortable. They just want their money as they will charge you over and over till they have their money. Watch out for the blonde if you stay here and watch out for homeless as they pay security for nothing.
Stayed here last year and had the worst stay I've ever had. They took my reviews down but I had all kinds of pictures, carzy stains on the bed, dirty sheet, broken furniture, broken windows with dangerous shards of glass sticking out, loose wires hanging from the ceilings. Also you do not get your own bathroom, you have to share bathrooms down the hall that they never clean and have mold in them. The doors do t lock to the building so anyone can come in and walk the halls.
The obvious advantage is “low” price. Contrary to other reviews, the check in person was very prompt, helpful, friendly, and no indication of drug use. Room was small but clean. Forecourt was iffy- see pic. Bed was fine. Doors and locks were loose-fitting, and did not give us confidence. Shared toilet was ok, but the shower room lacked rinse (for people with long, fine textured, hair). We went to the Mexican market across the street and got some breakfast food and ate it in the lobby. Chatted with another tourist from the lower 48. Shared fridge was fine.
