Quality Inn & Suites Pittsburgh Harmarville

Should have read the reviews before booking. Advertised as having vending machines, laundry facilities and a full hot breakfast.... NOT this Quality Inn....out of order signs posted on vending machines and laundry machines. And if you're wanting to take a nice hot shower, this is NOT the place, more water comes out of the back of the shower head than comes out the front. Baseboards are hanging off the walls, above the shower the ceiling is peeling. Beds are comfortable though. It was also during a snow event, about 6-8 inches and no plowing on the parking lot. It is a quiet hotel as there were maybe a total of 7 guests.

Hotel definitely needs work. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to switch our room when we first checked in. There was a big metal piece sticking out of one of the beds, carpeted base trim was falling off the wall and just lying on the floor. The bathroom toilet had stain in it and the tube looked like it was never cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel. Not worth the amount we paid to stay one night

I should have listened to the reviews previously. RUN from this place it is a shame to be called quality inn, because it is far from it. Upon arrival the desk was pleasant and professional, but it stops there. Once i entered the NON Smoking room the room smelled of cigarette so strong that when i got home my wife asked if i had been smoking because it had saturated my clothes and bag. The room had a blood smear on the wall, the shower handle was a screw to turn the knob, holes in the walls, smoke detector wires hanging out of the wall with no detector present, and lastly i woke up with 8 bites on my buttocks, and 5 on my feet, 2 bites under my arm pit. I cannot believe anyone gave this hotel a 5star rating. I agree with several other reviewers that it was beyond disgusting. Trash overflowing bags in hallway, steps clearly unvaccumed, not shampoo, etc in bathroom, no coffee for coffee maker, a pan cover in drawer for flatware and only a fork spoon and a couple of knives in said drawer. The room was dirty and freezing. (Although it did finally warm up enough during the night. I have stayed at many hotels at many different price points, but never experienced anything like this!

Over the last few years comfort inn and quality inns have drastically declined in quality and service! There were ominous signs from when we first walked in, with lights that needed to be changed because one was flickering, another completely out. I'm glad there were places close to eat, the continental breakfast was absolutely horrid! The sausage was greasy and cool, not very tasty. The eggs were probably reconstituted, the kind you add water to make. The selection was pretty limited. The lock on my room was broken off, as of sometime kicked the door in and broke it off of the door. The kicker to all of this; I killed a roach in the bathroom. I told the staff and they seemed fairly indifferent. As far as I'm concerned I'm completely done with Choice Hotels! I'm extremely disappointed!
