Quality Inn & Suites El Cajon San Diego East

We spent 5 nights in this hotel. CONS: - Vinyl flooring kept coming up, making it dangerous to walk in the room. Maintenance came and taped floor but more and more pieces came up. - No bars in tub/shower so it was not real safe. - Mold in bathroom on walls and ceiling. - Toilet only flushed about once an hour. - multiple motorcycles parked outside and riders would work on them in the day and rev engines late at night. - No electric plug-ins near bed. - We didn’t feel safe leaving our room. - Overall appearance was old and cheaply renovated. PROS: - Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff. - Check-in was seamless—only took a couple of minutes. - Conveniently located. - Breakfast area, though limited in selection, was clean, organized and had an on-site staff member to replenish and clean

It was so unclean! The room we were originally given looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a few days! The other 2 rooms we were offered looked LESS dirty then the first one.. so we picked the cleaner of the 2. But to top of this off , there were roaches!! The front staff were great but the rooms need some serious cleaning!

Positive: "" Negative: The room reeked of cigarette smell and made our clothes stink for the rest of the trip. There were eaten sunflower seeds on the floor and the bathtub was filthy.

The Good thing in the Room was the Bed! The Bathroom is small and the Shower is Terrible! The Shower know was loose, I had to tighten the Shower Knob and even then, we had a hard time getting Hot Water.

Absolutely heinous! If you have had the foresight to check the reviews before booking, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Door locks don’t function, peeling paint, dirty sheets, electronic devices don’t function properly. After checking in and finding the room unacceptable, I was offered a second room that was in similar condition. I chose to leave without staying the night and am now fighting to get a refund.
