Hampton Inn & Suites El Cajon San Diego

Been staying here 5-6 nights a week for work the last 3 months and will be here another 3 months before my job is done. I have to say this is a wonderful place to stay away from home and family for work. The staff are ALL so kind and professional and always helpful. And I mean everyone! The front desk especially but housekeeping and Maintenance, everyone that works here is great. Half a dozen restaurants within walking distance and dozens more within a 1 mile circumference. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very nice sized and clean.

There are lots of commendable things about this hotel. We had a king suite which was spacious. The bathroom vanity was large with two drawers that worked great for storage. Lots of surfaces to put things; lots of places to charge our tech. A comfortable bed. The room was very clean. Breakfast had several hot and cold options and there was someone constantly wiping up after messy guests and restocking food. There is a hot water/coffee station in the lobby which we took advantage of often. ||Slight negatives of note... while the location was convenient, as other reviewers mentioned, the front parking lot gets busy with the line for in-and-out burgers. Positive: Shower Negative: Floors and surfaces dirty. Filthy. Dirty carpets. Walls with stains. Cold breakfast. Hard to park. Congested area around hotel with in and out customers.

I have stayed at this location a few times now for work trips and the rooms and service have always been great. What has finally pushed me to write a review was the service I received last week on Dec 3rd. I forgot to get her name, but the woman at the front desk was AMAZING. She was so warm and welcoming and specifically took an interest in my dog who was traveling with me. We chatted a little about our fur babies and she offered us a room that was off the main hallway so we wouldn't have a ton of people walking by our door and disturbing my pup. She was very thorough in informing me about all the amenities, including relief areas for my pet. A colleague of mine who arrived separate later also commented on how great she was. We work in a service related field so we always notice exception

Great stay. Laura and Shannon set us up with great rooms. I could hear people walking above us on the third floor, but Shannon moved us to the fourth floor and no noise. Good price and breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
