Travelodge by Wyndham El Cajon

Walking distance to downtown El Cajon, food and shopping. The rooms have comfortable beds and nice furnishings. The staff is very professional and nice, they make your checking in and out easy, no hassle. I booked the wrong day and they went out of there way to accommodate me. Always good deal

Overall, a great stay for $88!! I came from Scottsdale and stayed on Oct 19 in room 201 to purchase a vehicle from a dealership down the street the next day. The room was surprisingly nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was clean. Who needs the free continental breakfast that other places offer at a higher price per night when there is a Golden Corral right across the street where I got the breakfast buffet for $11, juice included, before 10 a.m. There is also a Jack in the Box across the street (picture all three as a point of a triangle). The customer service was good, and the check in and out was quick and efficient. The only issues I had were: - the TV provider connection causing the program to freeze every 5-45 seconds. Positive: Staff was very nice and friendly. Negative: The room smelled like smoke and the bed spread was filled with burn holes. I would have thought that should have been thrown out, not reused.

The rooms here are always clean, I never have to worry about my baby crawling around on the carpet. The people at the front desk ( Tania and Biren) are always ready to help me with anything I need while staying here. Whether it’s restaurant recommendations or needing anything extra in my room.

I rarely leave a 5-star review on motels as a point of principle because you're realistically not ever going to get that experience. However, this seems to be the only East county motel with consistently great rooms. They have enough space, are clean, they all have a microwave and refrigerator, the TVs are nice and there's none of that plastic wood everywhere that you'll see in other budget stays. 10/10 will stay again.
