Quality Inn & Suites Baton Rouge West - Port Allen

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. My room was comfortable and full of light. The best part of my stay, however, was the service. Lisa and Lee went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the accommodations. I would definitely recommend the hotel. I will likely stay there again in the future.

I had a bad day to begin with so that may have affected the overall situation. After checkin, I took my bag to the room and left to go get dinner. When I returned, I went to get ice for a cold drink but the machine was not working. I thought no big deal, I have ice in the cooler on the truck. Came back to the room and tried to watch TV but it didnt work. Remote would do nothing but turn it on. Went to call the front desk and the phone was inoperable ... no dial tone at all or direct dial to front desk. So i walked down to the front, and told the clerk about the situation. She gave me new batteries. Went back to the room and tried them but it still didn't work, so walked back down to the front desk and advised clerk of the situation. I was told that they would have maintenance check ou

Positive: The location was easy access to I10, and close to my destination. Negative: The room was NOT cleaned. The bed was made, but I doubt that the linens had been changed. There was hair in the shower from the previous people. It is run-down and the walls need scrubbed as there was something on the doorframe that looked like mold.

Well shame on me for not checking the reviews first! Please do. This hotel only had three stars. They have received the same complaints over and over but obviously, do nothing about it. The lobby is updated and nice the rooms have not been updated. I found hair in the tub pee in the commode , toilet paper on the floor , tub stopper not working . After a hell of a long drive from Norfolk Va heading to Houston I was too tired to switch rooms. I felt ripped off. This IS Quality Inn but somehow they list their “Quality” somewhere down the road. A good manager or owner would correct the complaints the best they could, but here all that I can understand is they don’t care ! With that said I strongly advise you to do your homework so this can be prevented.

The security of the hotel is acceptable. You can only access the rooms from inside the lobby, even though the doors face outside balconies. However, the cleanliness of the rooms was not good. I found several hairs in the shower, and there was a few spots on the walls that may have been mold. There are no carpets, which I actually prefer. And there were no bugs, and who doesn't appreciate a bug free room? Would not stay here again.
