Quality Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport South

Comfortable and convenient place to stay near the airport. My room was clean and I enjoyed the complimentary daily breakfast. Fitness room was decent, with free weights and two cardio machines. There were also vending and laundry machines. I was satisfied with my stay.

Positive: Close to the airport. Negative: First room was very dirty and had cigarette smoke smell. We had to ask to move us to another room. It was better but with some water soaked into the carpet. At night it was very loud, due to some guests partying and the hotel stuff didn't do anything.

the hotel is great for airline crew. the staff is very accommodating. the nightly rate for crew is very reasonable. the truth is the hotel is dated and bare minimum, so if I wasn't coming for a work related trip, I would not stay there. I make it work, because the price is right.

The room smelled like smoke, fairly strongly. The carpet was gooey, most likely from many applications of powdered deodorizer. The shower worked well and the room was very clean otherwise. The shuttle service was poor. Our flight arrived late due to the fire scare at the control tower and the airport was processing slower than normal. By the time we were able to get a shuttle to the pickup location for hotels, Quality Inn was the only shuttle that had quit for the night and we had to get a cab, which was a fairly dangerous ride.

I'm a flight attendant and I've been staying here on and off many years. The last time before this last stay, I was extremely disappointed… it had an awful smell through out the place and it seemed like it was being run down. Months later I tried again! There were no smells and it smelled clean in my room! 😁
