Quality Inn Clovis

This motel was extremely disappointing. The room carpet was very dirty, smelly, and torn. The carpet was ripped at the entrance and where it joins the bathroom floor, with several large rips and visible spill stains throughout the room. The bathroom ceiling was broken and not properly fixed. There was an empty bottle of conditioner and no shampoo provided. The toilet flush kept running continuously. The room had many visible patches on the walls, and the comforter was torn along the side, making the bed feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. Although the room rate included breakfast, the options were very limited. The coffee and hot water were barely hot. The price was right and the room was clean. Staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Maintenance is substandard, complicated by age. The tub was delaminating, the AC/heater disconnected from the thermostat, wobbly chair and furniture. I did not notice the funky smell others have reported. I would not hesitate to stay there again - if nothing better was available.

First of all as soon as you walk into the lobby there is a stench that smelled horrible. I thought it was just the lobby, got our key to go into the room and definitely grab our stuff and checked out. I will never stay there again. Room was terrible and the bath tub did not look clean at all. Also, smelled like cigarettes and I was like nope, and we left. Those older hotels would be nice if they kept the maintenance up and hire better cleaning staff. There is no reason for a hotel to look and smell like it did!! You guys need to do better!!!!

Prices were reasonable about $74.00. Enter Room light switch didnt work. Door lock had been previously broken into and was shaky. Security Latch completely broken out. The microwave did not work with no replacement. Curtains had large holes.

We had stayed at this Quality Inn in Clovis, NM many times before in which the hotel was in poor shape, the carpet dirty and frayed, the tile in bathroom was broken and chipped, the hot breakfast was cold, no coffee, and very little to eat, and the room AC never cooled enough for a comfortable night's sleep. Because Clovis, NM is a good half-way stopping point on the way to our second home in Colorado, we looked online for Choice Hotels there and almost did not book this one again because of our bad experiences before. But we were running late and decided to book this again. When we walked into the lobby, we were presently surprised to see that there had been some remodeling done with new paint, carpeting, chairs, and new carpeting, tiles, bathtub and shower combination, Choice Hotels tow
