One of the most beautiful spots on Kauai. Endless beach, soft sand dunes, and dramatic high cliffs/mountains behind you. It feels remote and untouched — perfect for sunset and photos. Highly recommend!

Loved watching the sunset from this beach location! Though it could’ve been even better with clear skies. The beach is remote and hard to get to due to unpaved roads. Though you can manage driving to this location in a car, a 4x4 is highly recommended!

The road to the camp is really terrible, many holes. At least a car with a higher ground clearance is needed, preferably a 4x4. From the main road, it takes about half an hour to reach the camp via this road. I also met regular cars, but it must take a lot longer for them to arrive. But the beach is beautiful, not many people there. And it's amazing to wake up on the beach in the morning, amazing sunrise.

It’s gorgeous here and if you have time on the island, it’s a worthy visit. This is a peaceful and un crowded beach that is quite large and great for camping. If you have a , you’ll fare well. It is definitely rugged to get to; my friend and I drove an economy rental, and the road in was a bumpy ride. We managed to get in and out without too much issue, but drive carefully. Watch out for the sand flies after dusk/dark as they are prevalent at ground level, so the beach is pretty inhospitable once they arrive (this happens on most beaches there though). The sunsets here are epic and were worth the drive.

Polihale State park is further out and you need to take a dirt road which I would recommend some type of a 4x4 vehicle we rented a jeep so we were good to go. The dirt road is about 4 miles long to get to the state park off the main road, beautiful birds, wild pigs cross the road so drive carefully. This beach is breathtaking it reminds me of the Oregon coast but warm, the Na Pali mountain range runs along the edge of it an man what a gorgeous site it is. This state park like all the others has showers, trash service, however they request if the trash cans are overflowing be willing to pack out what you pack in, for $6 a night respect the parks here. They offer clean toilets, drinking water and covered areas with picnic tables. Again, I can’t imagine a better place for a camping trip
