Fantastic location to connect with nature. One of our favorite activities is traveling to the canyon for beautiful hikes. It was an absolute delight to get to stay overnight at the cabins and have the hikes at our front door. The cabins are truly for those who want to “get away from it all” — this is a cabin/camping experience so be sure to roll with that. This is not a high-end glamping experience. There is no Wifi or cell connection - which we loved because we really wanted to unplug. I feel the price to stay in the cabins was very fair for this reason & good value. ||The beds were remarkably comfortable and the shower temperate & pressure wonderful. We loved waking up and feeding the roosters (who themselves were up at 5 AM). We hope to come back one day!!
They don’t tell you that to use the park for the week of your stay in the park that you have to pay $20 per day, every day. A National Park pass is $80 for a year. Five days here in helicopter land is $100. No thanks. The noise in the park from constant nonstop helicopters makes it not worth $5. Stay in a quieter part of the island, like at the airport in Lihue.
I was staying in the Olapa Cabin for 2 nights in 2024 June, The cabin was clean, everything worked perfectly. There is electricity, nice and clean bathroom with towels,a kitchen with microwave and gas stove. Bed was comfortable and blanket was provided for the cooler nights. The cabin had 2 bedrooms. It is spacious and comfortable. You can park your car right next to the cabin. It is safe. There is a restaurant in a few hundred yards from the cabin and many hiking trails so it is ideal for people who want to be active or just stay in the forest and enjoy the sound of nature. There are roosters around so be prepared :) Carol and the management company did a very good job they helped me with informations and they were very nice and easy to communicate with. I will definitely come back and s
Our cabin was was wonderful, with comfortable beds, a full kitchen and nice living room/dining space. The location is awesome. You are near (a very quick drive from) both the Waimea Canyon overlooks and trails and the spectacular Kalalau overlooks and are even within walking distance of one of the major Na Pali view trails. We stay at the Kokee cabins for several of our days on Kauai every time we go to Hawaii and have enjoyed our stay every time.
I stayed in one of the studio cabins for 1 night and it was fantastic. Now, it's not luxurious, but it's everything a mountain cabin should be. Rustic and clean :). Kitchen was small but had all of the necessities (including coffee), shower was hot, and bed was really comfortable. Short (3 minute) walk to the nearby lodge for food/drink, but beware. They close at 4.
