Plaza Motel

Very little service, don’t matter if you stay for 1 night or more you get 2 towels upon check in and forced to buy more if you use them! Only thing that’s been updated was the bathrooms. Service could use some attention let alone convenience.

I am not racist, but the owners are creepy and strange. Always walking around to check on you. It costs to have visitors then they stare down people you bring in. They also check into rooms next to you to listen to you. There is no Wi-Fi. All is locked. They come knock on your door if you leave and come back... pretty creep. To top that off the rooms aren't that clean. After showering I wiped the door down because it had sticky brown stuff on it and the washcloth was covered in brown gew. The shower drained tended to clog and the bed sheeting had cigarette burns and was ripped. The floors had stains and the walls had dirt pretty badly. I know this place is cheap but is it that hard to deep clean every once in a while. The people besides being creepy were nice .

The rooms are on the small side but are clean and everything worked. They are pet friendly. There is only 1 entrance/exit. Most of the room doors face the courtyard. It kinda made me feel like I was in prison. I felt like the motel management was watching everything I did. Kinda creepy. One way in. One way out. Overall, I had a good, restful stay. The rooms are nice and clean with modern furnishings.

Stayed for 6 nights. Staff was professional, did their jobs on time and punctual. Room was clean, no bugs and HBO/direct TV was available. Wifi was around 50 to 100 Mbps so serviceable internet. booked through hotels.com. 25 dollar deposit for your room returned to you within a few businesses days if no destruction done to your room.

Nasty hotel. They didn't even tell me that all they had was a smoking room and my son has asthma. I walked into that room and it smelled like 100 people were smoking in it at once. The most disgusting room I've ever been in and then they tried to charge me double for the $20 and they tried to charge me for the room even tho I didn't stay. I guess that's why they don't let people from Joplin stay in hotels and motels. So they can screw the out of towners. Thank God for disputing a payment or Ida got screwed. Crappy hotel. Crappy management!
