This hotel is so run down. Upon walking in the lobby was dirty with stuff all over the carpet/floor. When we got to our room it hadn’t been cleaned. There was long strands of hair all over the floor in the bathroom, in the bathtub and sink. The beds had been remade but upon further inspection the blankets were dirty so it appears maybe the sheets got changed but not the blanket. The couch in the room has a cover on it that looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. If I could have immediately checked out and went elsewhere I would have. Upon notifying the front desk a housekeeper did come in and clean and provide fresh bedding but I’m not impressed. The mattress and pillows are rock hard. They tried to patch the wall in the bathroom and did a horrible job. Will not stay here again.

Nathan (night shift) and Noah (early morning shift) were incredibly kind to help us get a room at the last minute without a reservation after my husband and I had driven 13 hours to the coast. The place is quirky and unusual, to say the least, but our room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and really good muffins in the morning. The coffee sucked, but the muffins were delicious. Thank you to the staff for their kindness and good service.

Positive: It was quiet at night time which was incredible. Considering it’s on the busiest street in town. Negative: Food splatter on the walls and even ceiling. Hair left in the shower from the last person who used it. Spit all over the mirror and faucet of the sink. Which I have pictures to show proof.

Based on the rating and reviews of The Palace I was sure that it wasn’t a top-quality hotel, but felt that I should stay one night to see for myself. Right off, when making reservations I saw that their website was very user-UNfriendly. The exterior of the hotel looked fine, but once you step into the lobby you see that it’s a step back into 1990. Despite what’s shown online, they don’t offer breakfast – just a single tray of muffins which is sitting on a table in the lobby. And instead of removing the sign in the lobby designating the adjacent room as “Continental Breakfast”, they just taped a piece of paper over it. As you can see on one of the pictures I posted, they did this paper-covering on another sign too. Like the other following complaints, that was an indication of the hotel’s i

Absolutely Disgusting! The smell of mold was so overwhelming that we left without a refund. We walked away from two rooms because they were that bad. There were holes and mold on the walls, and everything felt dirty and poorly maintained. We even spoke to another couple who were also leaving; they showed us a massive blood stain on their mattress and dead skin on their sheets. Completely unacceptable conditions. Avoid at all costs!
