Wonderful resort with very friendly and attentive staff! The oceanside view is beautiful! Relaxing poolside is great here especially with the 2 hot tubs, water slide, and poolside food/beverage service. The poolside food and drinks are excellent as well and not crazy expensive. We got access to the voyager club lounge as well, which was very nice with the food and beverages offered. The staff here was also wonderful. It's also very nice to have snorkeling & paddleboard available to do right there. The night manta ray snorkel trip is right by the resort as well and is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend staying here!
I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a disappointing experience during check-in. The front desk staff member who initially assisted me, Teresa, appeared cold and disengaged throughout the interaction. She avoided eye contact and focused on her computer without offering clear communication. I was only informed that my room was not ready after I specifically asked if there was an issue. When I inquired about the estimated waiting time, I was told she did not know and that I would need to wait until housekeeping notified her. I was asked to sit in the waiting area. After waiting about 20 minutes without any update—and noticing that the front desk had been left unattended—I approached another staff member, Karen. She kindly checked the system and informed me that my room had
It is hard to believe some of the negatives reviews of this resort. The resort was amazing, and I have stayed at some great hotels over the years. It was nearly completely redone. The small part that isn't finished is fully underway to be completed soon. The best example of that is Duke's- Full 'down to the studs' remodel. The Oceanview rooms are new with great views of the Pacific Ocean. The 47 Club lounge offered an assortment of food offerings and the staff was always attentive. The pools were clean, warm and fully stocked with towels and pool toys for kids. Major shout outs to Chuck and Tyler at Bell service. Teresa and Leanni at the front desk. Nani in the Aloha Room. Very professional and helpful.
Outrigger is a 4 star resort. Once you get comfortable with that then it’s overall a very nice place to stay. If you want 5 star quality look elsewhere. We visited for 7 days over the winter holidays. We booked a suite for a family of four (two teen boys). Positives - the rooms were excellent, the staff generally nice, the pools were great, the gym is brand new and the lounge access was worth the extra money if you used it for breakfast and a drink or two in the evening. Areas for improvement - granted it was the busy holiday period but there was a noticeable shortage of staff especially at the front desk, there are no signs for the games room and when we found it no pool sticks. The gym is great but no exercise mats which means people were using the gym towels as mats and they woul
We are not typically demanding guests and generally do not stay at resorts, as we don’t tend to use many of the amenities. However, this was our anniversary trip, and we chose the OUTRIGGER based on positive reviews from friends who had stayed previously. Unfortunately, the entire stay was clouded with issues from the moment we checked in. We reserved a King Oceanfront room and arrived at 3:00 PM for check-in. At the desk, we were informed that no King rooms were available and were offered a double-bed oceanfront room instead. What was most disappointing was not only that the reserved room type was unavailable, but the lack of genuine effort from the front desk staff to meaningfully resolve the situation. Beyond offering complimentary parking, there was little sense of urgency or ownershi
