Orchid Vacation Rental House

Recently our family of nine, ages 8 to 80, stayed at the Orchid House in Poipu. This was our first use of a VRBO and we were not disappointed. Located on a quiet residential street, the property is gorgeous with a view towards The Grand Hyatt Resort and Shipwreck Beach, with easy access to nearby walking trails and beaches. It features an ideal floor plan and amenities to accommodate all a family needs for a very comfortable home-away-from-home for a week (or longer). The home provides all the necessary beach items - toys (for the pool, too), snorkel gear, boogie boards, surf boards, water shoes, chairs, towels and coolers. Beautiful home with a layout that ensures everyone has space and aren't on top of each other - the photos don't fully reflect how gorgeous it is. View is amazing and the pool is pristine. We were welcomed warmly by both the house manager and owner, and they provided ample recommendations and directions, with insider tips that we appreciated. It's close enough to multiple places we wanted to visit, and even after a day of snorkeling, we still wanted to get in the pool. We would stay again.

Missing this home greatly as we eek out the final days of winter in the Midwest, so I am finally writing a review... We rented the Orchid Home in October 2024 to celebrate our 40th Anniversary with our children and their families. The home met our needs for 6 adults and 2 children (6 & 15 mos.). The home was extremely well appointed for all of us. The high chair, pack and play and special crib Ning purchased before our stay were greatly appreciated. We were able to make use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, multiple beach and pool toys, beach wagon and stroller as well. We did not want for anything in beach or pool amenities. We had a fabulous stay at the Orchid House! It was the perfect space for our family of 6 adults and 4 little boys. We were amazed how well-equipped the house was, it had everything we needed and more! The swimming pool and so many pool toys were a big hit with the boys, as was the ample lawn area to run around and play. Every evening we had dinner on the big front porch table and there also was a sweet little picnic table for the boys. The location is wonderful, with gorgeous ocean views. Three beaches were at walkable distances, but it was also easy to pack everything up (they supplied boogie boards, snorkels, beach chairs and sand toys) and drive. Ning, the owner, and Evan, the house manager were both very kind and helpful. We are definitely planning on a return visit!

Our family had an amazing time with our family of 9 here for a summer vacation. It was great to spend afternoons relaxing in the pool after morning trips to the beach. And we all loved having our own bathrooms and large closets in each room. Tons of beach equipment and pool toys to use - we brought our own snorkeling gear but ended up using theirs. The sunrise views from the main floor are unreal!
