Ocean Street Inn

We Pay for what we get. Reviews accurate. Rooms have been updated newish decor and carpet. But they must be short on cleaning k maintenance folks. Upon entry: Dirty plastic fork on the floor by the tables & chairs , cobwebs, dust and hair in the corners especially bathroom. Slop stains on the walls, doors and trim. Repairs seem to have been completed on a shoe sting budget and by a person what has no business doing it. All it needs is a better attention to cleaning and maintenance.

We checked in at midnight after an emergency trip to Bourne animal hospital. They had us check in at the lobby of a different hotel to get keys- and we went looking for Ocean Street Inn which had all the lights off and taped up parking area. After calling front desk and searching further we found it. Awful night sleep, noisy mechanicals, funky smell, terrible lighting, no outlet for coffee maker in the morning so we put it on the floor near the bathroom, and weak wifi. What are we paying $40 at the door for amenities for. Much better idea to stay at their nicer hotel Hyannis Harbor or one of the other inns in the area. Check in and check out was easy, I stayed with my friends and boyfriend and we enjoyed our experience. The hotel room was very clean and cozy, and the staff was nice. I do wish that our bathroom in our room had a rug for the floor, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely try to come back here in the future!

The only thing this place has going for it, is the location. Just checked in and feeling disappointed. The pictures in the website are deceiving. It belongs to the nicer more expensive sister hotel (Hyannis Harbor Hotel/Inn) where one has to check-in. There’s vacancy there to the tune of an extra $500 per night. This place is the step-sibling of the other place. The so called balcony that is in the picture that one can see facing the Marina, actually faces the back with a view of a road and trees. The common areas are run down. Carpets are dirty and ripped, stairs could use a chip and paint job; heck, the whole outside could use a face lift! The structure is that of an old cheaply constructed motel; however the rooms have been updated with nice finishings. Door, carpet, bedframe, and bedding exceeded expectations for a 2 star property. Room and bathroom were very clean. If you're looking for one of the cheapest motels in Hyannis, this is a great option.
