Courtyard by Marriott Cape Cod Hyannis

I am so utterly disappointed. I have been staying in this hotel for years and always suggest it to people because it is affordable, consistently clean, and the staff is great. This time, however, there is some kind of massive group of children staying here whose parents are just getting drunk at the bar and not supervising their kids while they RUN up and down the halls screaming past 11pm. The front desk sent someone to stand in the hallway and ask them to be quiet but there are so many of them it is completely ineffective and no one is willing to ask the parents to supervise their children. Completely unacceptable, and I am baffled at the way my complaints have been dismissed by the front desk. I will not stay here again.

It's fine. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean and the dining area what's a roomy and pleasant and well lit with an a la cart menu for breakfast, as well as Starbucks Coffee options which were welcome, though the selections for supper are limited. Overall a hotel was well maintained, low, the door to a room did need some touch a paint on the bottom and refreshed grout at the tub. The rooms were very quiet and the temperature control who was excellent. Beds and linens were very comfortable.

As a Lifetime Gold Member, I usually choose Marriott-branded hotels whenever I travel and have generally had good experiences. My stay at this property was enjoyable until I had to leave one night early due to an emergency. Unfortunately, there was no flexibility or discretion applied to the situation—the staff informed me I would still be billed for the full stay. While I understand rate rules, I also know that managers have the ability to waive exceptions in certain cases. In this instance, the manager refused, which left me disappointed. I expected a higher level of consideration and customer care.

Positive: Location was excellent with plenty of access to attractions and shopping Negative: Housekeeping could have been better, but wasn't the worst we've encountered. The "restaurant" would have been better described as a bar with snacks... calling it a restaurant is a bit of stretch.

Rooms were clean but definitely in need of an update. Cabinet door with refrigerator was broken. The mattress seemed new but everything needs to be upgraded. People at the front desk were very nice. There is a limited restaurant that was mostly empty the whole weekend. That should have been our clue but we went in and ordered drinks and a Flatbread pizza. It looked and tasted like it was made in a kids easybake oven. The guy acted like it was a big issue to ask for food. Would recommend only if you plan on being out most of the time.
