Ocean Mecca Motel

UPDATED REVIEW.. ..also Look at the Reviews for Ocean Mecca before booking because this hotel has changed names...This is my review from a brief experience this past weekend....ALSO DO NOT BOOK FROM ANYONE BUT THE HOTEL ITSELF, other reservation sites have been creating scams. The location of the hotel is great, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful — especially with parking, which we really appreciated. We were on a last-minute weekend road trip and booked this place around 10 PM, as it was one of the few options still available. The total cost for the night was just over $500, which is definitely overpriced for the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, the room itself was disappointing. This was our 6th year staying here. The past 5 years were pretty good. The people working there were pretty nice. This year they over charged us a fri night price for a thurs night. When we realized that we asked to be refunded the difference. The owner would only offer a $100 voucher for next year. Legal theft I guess. I hope it was worth losing a loyal customer. And to top it off my 10 year old grandsons gaming controller disappeared after the housekeeping cleaned our room. We notified the office. They said they found nothing in the linen. She was the only other person in our room besides us. Very disappointed.

Excellent getaway motel. Not outrageous with their prices and location and parking are unbeatable! Need to upgrade their mattresses though

This place is a joke. Overcharged us. Out of 150 rooms we were the ONLY people there. Found dirty cups under bed. Thinking nobody else was there we asked if we could change rooms. Obviously the owner only cares about the money...Location is nice but choose a different motel/hotel..

This place saved our vacation! We were to stay at the Monte Carlo suites and when we got there it was uninhabitable due to mold everywhere! We were stuck without a place to stay and the folks here worked with us and got us a great room right on the Boardwalk. It was smaller than the two bedroom place we had booked, but it was spotlessly clean, affordable and had a wonderful staff, especially Sally! We're grateful that they saved our vacation and we had a wonderful week. We got to spend much needed, up close, time as a family!
