Ocean Breeze Inn

My family and I have been coming back to this same hotel for 17 years now. We love it more and more each time. Now we travel without our children but everytime we come we are greeted politely and treated very well! Rooms are always immaculate and shower has great pressure and hot water! Thanks again for another great stay! See you next year!

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is a nice boutique hotel across the street from the beach and close to downtown St. Augustine. The check in process was by machine assuming because it was later in the evening. Upon check in we had to change our keys several times because they didn’t work. The next morning we were considering adding a night and my husband verified with the front desk that check out was at 11:30. At 11:00 am cleaning staff started very rudely beating on our door despite the do not disturb sign. They literally came to our door 5 times prior to 11:30 and they were extremely rude to my husband. We got out of there and told the manager and he did offer an additional night at a discount but was more than the original booking. Overall the cleaning staff ruined our stay.

Positive: The owner has a dog who hangs out outside and is very friendly. It is also very walkable to the beach across the street and also some local restuarants. Negative: The rooms are non smoking but there were sand ash trays lining the sidewalks immediately outside the rooms, so the rooms still had a slight smokey smell, and the smell of someone smoking would drift in when they were outside.

I knew I was booking an inexpensive motel, but didn’t realize it was as run-down as it was. Beds uncomfortable and bedding should have been discarded. Pilling of the pillowcases was gross. Great shower, but towels could have doubled as a loofah. Pool was freezing cold🥶.

This is the typical patel motel. The lobby smells like rotten food so if you have allergies or a sensitive nose avoid! If you book a room, the manager gives something cheaper. And if you have a service dog they send you to the corner and will not reimburse you for the room you actually paid for. Utter scam, just like those guys that call you to get gift cards.
