Oak Motel

I have not been here in a while, but it is still a good place to stay. It would be better sharing a room with the right person. There are soft chairs and enough space for extra items from home. There is a wide screen television in front of the bed and a table in front, which can be moved to either side. Bring a DVD player with an HDMI cable, if possible because there is nothing really good on television now and the older shows are much better. The maids should set the clocks to the correct time, even if it is just the microwave. They usually miss some spots while cleaning and I find some trash behind or under items. I like the early check-in time of 1:00 P.M., rather than 3:00 P.M. at most places and that we can leave the key card in the room if checking out early.

Found this place on Southwest.com and booked it along with airfare. Paid $260 for a room with 2 beds. Very disappointing. Walked in to putrid smell. Told the manager I wanted my money back. I was going to throw up with strong chemical and filth smell. He said that there are no refunds. He said they just cleaned carpet. Because I didn't want to lose my money and I was attending a Stanford graduation that day I didn't have much choice. He did put us in another room. Shabby furniture, looked like it was bought at Salvation Army sale. It was very sub par and certainly not worth the $260, more like $69. There are certainly needs for lower price places, but I paid good money and expected more.

The rooms are dirty and furniture stained. Mold in the bathrooms, the AC unit smells so bad I left the room to wait for it to clear out when I turned it on. Pillows are as hard as a rock and they use a marker to label their towels. This is a low star dirty place. Avoid it! I don’t want to know what kinds of stains there were on the furniture and walls.

This is my worst experience. The internet doesn’t work and had interrupted connection with very low speed. I complained and they gave me several user id but none of them worked. The hotel on booking.com charged me for the refundable deposit but they denied to returned it to me

If you love cockroaches and don’t mind them as extra visitors than this is the hotel for you! Atleast you won’t feel alone in the hotel room. Found 3 cockroaches and those were just the ones that were chilling in the room. Bathroom felt like I was in a high end prison bathroom so that’s a cool experience since I never been to prison.
