New South Motor Inn

We really enjoyed our stay here - just one night, but would have been happy to stay longer. The room was very clean, with fun retro vibes. The beds were more comfortable than I was expecting, given the price point. In general, I thought it was a great value for the price. Having a small fridge and bar sink in the room was nice too. Very short drive from there to historic Madison, but would be a little bit of a long walk. There aren't really Ubers or Lyfts available in town - something to consider if you're having drinks in town.

We travel all of the time and are very loyal to Marriotts…BUT…| The New South Motor Inn is the best place to stay. So this isn’t luxury but what it is, is inviting. Easy to control temperature. Spotless room, great Keriug coffee, so quiet and a mile into the square. Bed was so cozy. Easy to use Yale key pad for entry. Decor was fun. The photos you see online are exactly how they are. |I’d do free advertisements for them!

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, amount of toiletries and shampoo etc, they had some sodas and juice and snacks in the room which I liked instead of having to go find a vending machine. We got the bigger room with the king bed and there is a couch that can fold out as well. Plenty of space. Air purifier, essential oil diffuser, mini split, Roku, comfy bed and pillows, everything you need! Microwave and sink and fridge.. and it is so clean!! we were happy and comfortable.

I feel compelled to give a 3 stars because everyone else fell for the concept instead practicality, and these reviews need balance. This is a fun concept motel, and this is why we decided to give it a chance. Madison is a great place for us to stop for the night when driving back from FL, and I'm tired of rooms and ACs smelling like mildew or worse (I'm in the trade). This is a fairly recent reno with a fun twist, and they installed mini-splits, which is a plus, so we stopped. Pictures are misleading for sure. I booked the least expensive but also smallest room last minute, and still paid $145 for one night! Some other hotels down the road are 1/2 - 2/3 that price with bigger rooms, but yes, apples and peaches since this GA. The place was not even half full, so no last minute deals for a r

5 stars. Seamless entry. Bedding comfy and nice linens and towels. Soaps etc were lovely. Room had all we needed to accommodate our usual needs and clean. It possessed a fun decor while resting at a great location. All the amenities we needed. Parking right Infront of our room made it easy to unload and reload. Town park and square right down the street which was aligned with antebellum homes. We will return to stay another night upon our return back. Super place don't think twice!!!
