Mt Royal Motel

The Royal Motel is in a great location and just a few blocks away from the stores and restaurants! The park in front of the motel was great! We love it! ❤️ Also one block from the beach, comfy bed, my family and I slept like babies 🙂 The room was very clean! the staff is super kind, the pool was good! Everything was great during our stay! Definitely we are going back next year to the Royal Motel🙂 Thank you to the awesome staff and management!

Ww premium rates for this motel, and the value simply wasn’t there. From the moment we checked in, we noticed the rooms were in disrepair and reeked of mustiness. The walls were so thin that we could hear every word from the adjacent rooms, and quiet hours were not enforced or perhaps didn’t exist at all. Guests were even allowed to pitch tents and cook in the hallways. The pervasive smell of marijuana added to the discomfort. To make matters worse, the room shook violently with every passing train, so much for the “great location.” Staff interaction was minimal. Parking wasn’t assigned, and navigating to even basic outlets was a hassle, a couple of outlet were so loose we had to even slide the mini-fridge out every time I needed to charge something. I had such an amazing stay at this motel! From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and comfortable. The staff were some of the friendliest and most hardworking people I’ve met – always smiling and ready to help with anything we needed. The pool was really nice . Our room was clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Honestly, everything was 10/10. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience!

I absolutely love this hotel! We got lucky an had a garden tub and was able to relax in it. Very clean love the fact there is a broom so you can sweep up after comming back from the ocean. There is a coffee pot beds are extremely compfy. Pillows are soft. Blankets are white so they are cleaned! The staff is extremely nice! I definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for one night and paid $400 — absolutely not worth it. Right when we walked into the room, we noticed the warped ceilings, worn-out headboards, and doorframes that were visibly rotted. The floor in both the bedroom and bathroom was dirty and grimy — we didn’t feel comfortable walking around without shoes on. When we pulled back the bedding, there was dirt and several strands of hair under the covers. We tried to get clean sheets and blankets, but the front desk was closed and locked for the night, and no staff could be found. We also discovered that a few of the pillows had visible stains, including what looked like lipstick and Cheeto dust under the pillowcases. The pillows themselves were completely flat and offered no support. On top of that, there was no deadbolt on the do
