Mountain Inn

We walked in, no reservations, the front desk person was very nice and helpful, gave me the room on the first floor with 2 beds (important for us). It's okay for the price ($75 with all fees for 2 beds room), room is large, a/c unit is an up to date modern model, works great. room is clean. Beds and linens are okay. lots of space, 2 sitting areas. Tv worked. Refrigerator and microwave are in good condition but no coffee maker (there is coffee in the lobby though - very good). Hotel itself is large, with long corridors, it used to be a great building once, but now it's worn down but I think they are renovating it - walls are being repainted. Lobby area looks absolutely impeccable though, with flowers and fire place and nice decorations. Overall, It's totally reasonable for the price.

We stayed here, it sucks! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone because they have bed bugs. They are also rude to customers. They don't do their job right. The front desk guy (owner) was with the customers while they were there, and he took two personal calls on his cellphone while I was trying to get a copy of my receipt. He could have waited to take personal phone calls. There is no housekeeper there either. They are unprofessional there. Here's proof.

First time I have left a bad review and not even stayed the night yet. Had to unplug light near desk to plug in computer so it is difficult to see my keyboard. Sat down on rolling chair and it broke, and now wi-fi is so slow it is almost worthless, takes forever to bring up anything and pictures load very slowly. Shows strong signal but no strength to the wi-fi. In addition tv was unplugged so we had to have that done and have desk moved so they don't have enough electrical outlets. This could be fixed with lamps have USB outlets and and electrical outlet on them but apparently the owner does not put enough money into simple things that would help him. Hey owner it's 2025, WAKE UP a good internet is needed !!!! Cannot give this place a good review, lastly the out side lawn looks unkempt an

It was a place to sleep. Despite what it says online, there is no pool for hotel guests or continental breakfast. The door to our room had to be forced shut and the screw was slowly working itself out if the door handle. The door that led to the 'pool' area had a sheet over it, and it said employees only. Stayed in a 2 double bed room. The shower barely worked and there was hair in the drain. Nice, clean microwave and mini fridge.

UPDATE: First time back this year. The updates are truly amazing!!! King size room is stunning! The bathroom is huge! Also, there are handicap shower/tub chairs already in the bathroom should you need them! The owners out-did themselves!!!! We visit this area several times a year to see friends. Found place at the last minute because everything in the area was booked. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The new owner (s), privately owned locally, is doing an excellent job with the remodeling! Owners are polite and ask about your stay. The first floor is done and the rooms are excellent! Bed is so comfortable (no aches and pains next morning), fridge/microwave, clean, bathroom is a decent size, NO BUGS at all and I check every hotel room we stay in. Also small free breakfast and coffee.
