Mountain Host Motor Inn

We came here on a UP color tour bus later in the evening. Once here, we discovered that they shorted us a room (don't know how that got worked out). We were fortunate to get our room and it was pretty decent. Minimal but adequate. Everything worked and the beds were good. The automatic pancake maker was a hoot in the morning. Wave your hand and a pancake pops out. I thought the hotel was a good value.

The hotel is very clean with plank flooring rather than carpet. Reception desk very friendly and helpful. The mattress was ok, but personally would prefer a more plush comfort. Breakfast items all prepackaged, individually wrapped, and ultra sanitary. This hotel is a good option for those concerned with sanitation.

Service was excellent. We didn’t arrive until after 11pm and the front desk had us checked in right away. Was there for one night and upon checkout, the front desk was highly communicative about the conditions outside from the evening’s ice storm. They certainly care about their guests.

Positive: Floors were not carpeted. Negative: Beds need to be replaced.

The room was dirty. Didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the bed. The staff was mostly courteous except for paying for my snack with a card. Wouldn’t stay here again.
