Mountain House Base Area at Keystone Resort

Our family spent a week in Keystone (12/31-1/5) for a ski vacation. Our lodging was conveniently located between River Run Village and Mountain House (Peru express). Understanding we were visiting over a holiday week, we expected crowds and long wait times. We were pleasantly surprised with the convenience, smaller crowds, and short wait times in the Mtn Base area. You can also access the ski schools in this area. Highly recommend using this area to access the mountain and avoid the large crowds and long lines at River Run Village. If you are on a shuttle line, I highly recommend using it! They were always right on time and very easy to use.

Decent basic base area. I prefer it to river run too commercial. Plenty of bathroom space. Water cups. Area for brown bag lunch. Lockers are pricey 22-30 a day. I just leave my shoes and backpack lunch by the wall.

This is a good lodge to get ready for your ski day. The tables are evenly spread apart. There is a ski shop for clothing in the building. The rental shop is nearby.

Open the food court for drinks/snacks at least when lifts start

Employees will mock beginners if they are alone.
