Motel 6 Youngstown, OH

The rooms are very spacious. It’s crazy how big the rooms are, almost too big. While they are big, they are fairly rough inside. The floors were extremely sticky and dirty and there was a stale cigarette smell in the air. A lot of things in the room were fairly worn down, but it seemed like they tried to restore the rooms to some extent. Overall it was a decent place for an overnight stay, but I wouldn’t stay here for extended periods of time. This motel seems to attract rough guests.

Right near I80. Easy to make last minute accommodation. However, the room stunk like tobacco. The floors hadn’t been mopped so my socks became black on the bottoms. There were cigarette burns in the blankets. Pubic hair on the face towels. Mold on ceiling of bathroom. Bathtub glazing was peeling and coming up. The exterior of the motel is littered with garbage. At least there was hot water and no bed bugs.

Not only did the heat not work in our room, the lock didn't work thenext day (that's fun loading the car in 10o weather with the door propped open!) We were given ONE towel for our 4-person room; luckily we brought a beach towel for dog paws, so we could both actually shower and not freeze to death. Nobody answered the line at the front desk, and trying to finagle dog and an uber sick fiance, loading/unloading onto their second floor middle unit, we had zero motivation to try and move to another spot or hotel at 11pm at night. ||NOW we're dealing with this place charging us TWICE, and the phone lines listed don't go anywhere. This place is a disgusting sham

I stayed here Jan 2-4th and I’m giving the 2 star overall due to the lack of properly shoveling snow. I am disabled and not knowing the area wasn’t sure you could not get to rooms through covered passage ways. I had to push my electric wheel chair inside that had NO AUTOMATIC DOORS for disabled persons. When I left housekeeping nicely grabbed the door for me but I slipped out of my chair because my wheels spun in the snow. There was no salt and it was barely shoveled. Got over to my room (VERY NICE BTW vinyl flooring for the pets to make it easier to clean up but mine use pee pads when not taken outside) I didn’t even bother with my chair but I had to step over snow pile to get to the room and the area at my door was barely shoveled.
