Wingate by Wyndham Youngstown

Stayed 4 nights and never had room service. I understand Christmas day but when I went to the front desk, was told that the room was marked serviced by housekeeping. Makes me wonder if I am sleeping on sheets that were slept on and not laundered. Won’t stay here again and will be calling the Wingate franchise HQ to file a complaint. Responding to Wingate’s comments. Fresh towels were provided once by staff. We had to go to the front desk three times for fresh towels. Your “room service staff” obviously file false service reports.

The staff here was absolutely amazing!! Super friendly, personable, and genuinely helpful. Here’s the twist: I was actually trying to reach the Days Inn in St. Augustine. After getting transferred to the Wyndham general line (because apparently phones were optional that day), the representative gave me the wrong customer service number… which led me straight to this hotel by accident. Best wrong number ever. Even though I wasn’t their guest—and hadn’t even asked for help yet—they jumped right in and helped me anyway. Meanwhile, when I finally arrived at my actual hotel, I discovered the reason no one answered the phone: the front desk clerk was asleep on the lobby couch. Mystery solved. So yeah, next vacation? If the pool has been down "For a long time", remove it from your list of amenities. The pool was the only reason we came to this hotel.||One TV didn't turn on at all. The other was so pixelated you couldn't it extremely painful to watch. Cable TV is standard in run down motels. To only have over air channels for $140 a night is insane. Smart TVs with builtin apps have been around for 10 years. Your TVs were older than this.||The furnace filter was covered in dust and clearly hasn't been changed in quite some time. It was disgusting and the first thing you see when you open the closet. ||The fridge hummed ridiculously loud and is on its last leg. You can hear it from the hallway. ||Absolutely insane how run down this place was for what is being charged

Positive: Comfortable, quiet, good value, clean Negative: It’s a little outdated but still clean and comfortable so I don’t need to pay extra for style.

Very pleasant surprise! For price we expected small mediocre room. Room was spacious with seperate sitting area, everything was clean and updated. Night check in gal was super friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay here again!
