Motel 6 Ventura, CA - South

I Booked my room through AAA Travel Services. When I arrived at the hotel, the clerk advised that the reservation was not received. I showed her the reservation details on my phone. After about 20 minutes of back and forth, the clerk advised that she could not verify the reservation & that I could pay cash for a room at the same rate that AAA offered. My wife & kids were tired from the long drive, so I paid the cash. I then sent an email to AAA due to not being able to use the reservation. AAA responded to me 2 days later & advised that they spoke to the hotel staff & was informed that I did use my reservation. I explained to AAA that I was only able to stay because I paid cash, which I also provided the receipt showing so. AAA reached back out to the hotel & the staff advised AAA that I

This isn’t so much about the motel itself. This motel is what you would expect for the price. It works. The staff is polite and helpful. The virtual front desk is a bit odd but we’re living in the future. The bleach smell in the room is a good thing I guess. It’s a place to sleep at night. This is about the guests. People smoking weed by the pool. The smell of weed and food cooking from other rooms. Homeless and gangster looking people. Guests arguing loudly and stomping around in the middle of the night. Random people having loud conversations in the middle of the night outside. I’ve been here four nights and have been woken by what I’m assuming is a fire alarm two of the nights. I’m solo and I can handle it. But I would never bring my family here.

Do NOT Go To That Dump!||I called just now and the woman who picked up says that the rooms only have mini fridge, no microwave. Utterly ridiculous, obserd, insulting to the nightly prices, below standard. ALL motels and hotels have either none or obviously both items in every room. Majority of motels have both, as it is STANDARD. And I'd hate to think they have one raggedy stan microwave in the lobby expecting guests to get dressed, come out of their peace, solitude, comfort, privacy to travel to the lobby to warm or cook food. Clearly this dump of a motel is ghetto. It's bad enough that the photos show no blankets on the bed's, and a tiny office/dining table. Lmao! Hailey the front desk was the most helpful and attentive person. She did everything possible to make our stay even better! When the AC wasn't working she got it fixed asap. I give her and the property a million stars!

I rarely ever leave a bad review, but the new terminal with an offshored remote worker for check-in is not only annoying, but it takes away jobs from local workers. The room could have been in better shape too. I know this place ain't the Ritz, but it was definitely not as good as the average motel 6 experience. For example, I thought my window was open because the door let so much noise through.
