Motel 6 Suffolk VA

Coming from an old travel agency owner/agent. I have to say; this place was absolutely horrid! The price to stay is truly over priced and not worth it, even for those just needing to lay down for a few! The pictures are of the first room I was in. People living in the Motel! Not respectful or even held at any standard! Dead and alive bugs. They say the remodeled the first room I was in and well, the pictures say everything! Broke down vehicle's all throughout the parking lot. When I went to say something to the front desk and owners, I got patronizing remarks and nothing they can do but move rooms. I would recommend that no one stays here we made a reservation & then called when we knew we'd be checking in late they said it was fine they had our reservation. Then when we got there they told us they had no rooms available. Just poor business all around & it shows up as two different hotels at the same address. Don't waste your time or money with these people we had been on the road for more than 17 hours & just looking to get some rest but had to drive another hour just to find a room. For the price the room wasn't bad. Checking in was easy no hassle. My room was facing the pool which would have been wonderful if it was in working condition. Walk into the room and it looked as if there was some renovating going on, not truly completed but completed enough to be used by customer. The bathtub could use a better scrubbing, then what was done. It looks like someone tried to clean it but it still had a dirty look in the no slip things. The bed was comfortable and clean. I slept well. Like I said in all it was a decent price for what was there. Hopefully they will give it a facelift soon and the pool will be fixed.

They have roaches. Floors falling apart. You can smell the mold. I complained a time or twice we went through three different rooms. One of the cleaning ladies barged in my room when my do not disturb sign was on the door. Not to mention I heard a few racial comments as she left our room. I used to stay here years ago and never had this problem. They’ve definitely gone downhill.

Do not book this hotel, pictures look good on website.. let me start first with the smell. it smelled awful, dirty, little roaches everywhere. NASTY. not to mention that the parking lot and pool infected with cats everywhere. The bathroom oh my.. half of a toilet paper no waist baskets, bathtub with mildew and extremely dirty. spider webs.. the bathroom floor has hair on the floor and dirt from who knows how long has been there. Dust everywhere, on dresser, lamps, and TV. We found little roaches wondering on the of the little fridge that is in the room. I am so disappointed on choosing this horrible Motel 6 location.. They should pay us to stay at this place.
