Motel 6 Springfield, OH

You get what you pay for. Shower is really hard to operate and is either scorching hot, old bath water “warm”, or freezing cold. Toilet decides when it wants to flush and most of the time it just doesn’t. When we got to our room they were still cleaning it lol which is kind of ratchet. We had to stand there and wait 15 minutes but hey at least we knew it was clean. No free breakfast… I fear that’s the most basic hotel necessity. Only two small packets of shampoo that smelled liked bleach and two minuscule bars of soap. Pretty sure the air doesn’t work in the room either, haven’t heard it kick on. The hallway mentions ice available but is nowhere to be found. No comforter on bed, just basic hotel blanket that feels like thin carpet. Bed is very hard. Microwave didn’t heat anything up and I

Positive: The room was spacious and the hotel had plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers. Negative: The hotel smelled like a marijuana grow. The odor was pretty overpowering my entire stay.

Chose a non-smoking room and the room we were given had the strongest cigarette smell ever. It was very hard to sleep, in fact I was unable to sleep at all. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The floors were dirty, the counters had sticky residue on them, the room was very poorly cleaned. The bathroom also reeked of cigarettes. Do not recommend to anyone to stay here. Will be picking elsewhere when I come back to Springfield the next several times this year.

Today is 01/02/2026 @10:02am The motel room is very simple and spacious. I love that. The heater definitely heated up the room quick. I flew in from Arizona and I uber from the airport to here. Luckily they came through when I needed a room asap. The lady at the front desk was wonderful! She made sure no one waited at the front for more than 2 minutes. I give this place 5 stars.

Looks cold and damp from the outside, gives Soviet era apartment block vibes (go watch the circa 2014 movie 'The Fool' for comparison). Everything is plain and simple, the kind of place chosen not for comfort or luxury, but for necessity. It's a place to sleep before hitting the road again the next day. They do have truck parking, and quick access to i70. Mattress felt like a yoga mat, faded carpet in the hallway, and thin walls. Room had hot water in the shower, and the TV did work. Check-in was quick, room was decently clean, i didn't see any bugs, and the price was right. For a traveler passing through, sometimes that’s the only verdict that matters. I will say this, it's definitely one of the better Motel 6 locations... If you do decide to stay here, I wouldn't walk around the room bar
