Motel 6 Petersburg, VA - Fort Lee

The staff is great night shift is absolutely 100% wonderful all of them. They are just friendliest people you could ever meet especially in as bad of a situation as I was in. I had to stay there because my power was out in the middle of a freezing winter storm. So me and my two fur babies curled up and stayed warm there for 3 days. Thanks Lord we had somewhere to go so we're clean and safe.

My husband and I traveled over 2000 miles from Utah for Christmas. We rented what we thought was going to be a great room for wonderful Christmas. We hadn't seen our grandchildren in 3 years due to the being in Europe. Recently being reassigned to Fort G. We were greated by a wonderful and very nice young man. He even came from around the desk to welcome myself and husbsnd. The next day while relaxing we could hear other staff fighting and yelling at each other. We ignored it thinking it would get better.... well the next day, the staff was even worse, yelling volger language and various threats to each other. It was a little unsettling to see two police cars outside the hotel front door as we arrived. We learned that the staff are all female and the police stop by to check in on them. ||The area is a little shady with lots of other budget hotels in the. ||The front desk was staffed by a very nice lady who was responsive when I needed an ice bucket. ||The room was typical Motel 6 stark European. We like that there is not carpet and everything was pretty well done. We spent almost 6 months a year away from home, are budget travelers so we have seen it all. ||If you are a Hilton or Hampton or Holiday Inn person don’t stay here. For us, for one night it was fine and cheap. ||Walmart and other shopping stuff less than a mile away.

I hate to share a review like this but my experience was awful. I would not wish a stay here in my worst enemy. I am not at all picky when it comes to hotels, the room as okay, the location was fine but the front desk was horrible. The apparent supervisor (I think her name was Jennifer or Jessica?) was incredibly rude, angry and condescending. A large part of me feels like she appeared high. The rest of the staff was friendly but that experience made me feel unsafe and happy to be leaving quickly.
