Holiday Inn Express & Suites Petersburg - Fort Lee by IHG

Rooms were spacious and clean. Our standard double queen had a small tiled kitchenette/entrance area with a coffee pod machine, microwave, and mini fridge, which was a really nice touch before the soft, carpeted sleeping area. The bathrooms stocked Dove products, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We stopped here for a place to sleep on our trip home from Florida and were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent, the room was spotless, and the beds were so cozy after a long day of travel. It was also convenient that they had a small selection of food available for purchase, we arrived just before midnight and didn’t feel like hunting for a restaurant. Everything was very clean, enjoyed our stay! Would recommend!! Breakfast was slow - I don’t know if they had a call off or someone was late, but for a bit there was only cinnamon rolls (but they were delicious!) & coffee. But things happen!! Overall a great stay!!

Our hotel room was a king bed suite equipped with a kitchenette, featuring a hot plate, sink, large fridge, and dishwasher. Although the pots were of poor quality, they served their purpose, and I had brought my own can opener as the one provided didn't work. The room was clean and spacious, but it lacked sufficient lighting. Parking came with a $5 fee, which I found annoying as I prefer hotels to include such costs in the overall price. The standout aspect of our stay, however, was the exceptional staff. Everyone we interacted with, including Mighty Michelle, Bruiser Bruce, Alonzo, Kelsey, and Austin, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our housekeeper was also lovely, although we didn't catch her name. The standard Holiday Inn breakfast was a treat, especially the hot cinnamon bun

Stayed here over other places due to good reviews. Everything was nice and in order, staff is great here from check in to check out. Want to give special shout out to the day time GM? Not sure of name but think she was checking on housekeeping. Give her a raise! Great attitude and personality! I can see why this hotel was rated higher than others in the area. Positive: Front desk lady, Michelle went out of her way to ensure guests the best possible stay. Negative: Need to check smoke detectors regularly. Batteries expire and smokers often attempt to disable
