Motel 6 Joplin, MO

If your looking for drugs this is the place to be. The lady at the counter was not helpful at all. The doors on over half the rooms don't close all the way. The rooms were as nasty as nasty could be. The vent in the bathroom was hanging half way out of the wall. The it side of the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. There was no hot water in the sink. I did not try the shower because there was just no way I was stepping off in that thing. It felt very unsafe being there. There were a bunch of people hanging out all over the walk and stairs like they were doing drug deals. I had my little pew pew on my side with my hand on it any time I stepped out of the room and I slept with it. Ive never stayed here before ..it was about 70 something a night ...didn't even have a pillow on the bed. Noticed a crimal ellament there...noted behavior of others.

I’ve read the reviews and was holding off on staying there while stranded with a blown transmission. The customer service was very helpful in letting me park in a position as I had no reverse. I was traveling back from NH and only had gift certificates with minimal cash. I was allowed to pay cash with no deposit which was perfect for my situation. Upon hitting the interstate my transmission blew out completely but I knew where to go until my problem was resolved. All the hotel motels in the area advertised one price but after calling to reserve I found the prices were not as posted and I was rerouted to a third party which was out of state. Let’s be realistic, 45$ flat for a single queen bed is not going to be the Ritz so one cannot expect the rooms to be wonderfully accommodating. Just fo

The front desk worker was super rude to us. When checking in he was quiet and didn’t really acknowledge us. While helping up he proceeded to take 3 phone calls leaving us standing there freezing cold. It was snowing and we were just trying to get checked in and warm. Then when our water wasn’t working we called the front desk and he had a tone with us over the phone. Our room wasn’t even that great and was kind of dirty. Overall bad customer service and not great quality room. Won’t be going here again.

Check in clerk kind of acted like we were bothering him to check in. Totally disinterested in his customers and we were 3rd in line when we arrived. He treated everyone with the same quiet attitude. Literally he never spoke a word to us, just gave us a look and then our key. The room was BASIC. We were staying one night so that was okay but it was loud all night long. Shower floor was questionable looking as far as cleanliness. Bathroom fan didn't work. Built-in chair was coming off the wall. But the floor of the room was spotless. Room was made up early the next morning but we were only booked for one night and we wondered why this was done and left for later so the used sheets could be removed to prepare for the next guest.
