Motel 6 Jackson, MS

Clean and comfortable. Although it was the older style spring mattress, i still got a great night's sleep. Check in was average. Room was kind of small but I don't need much space to sleep. Parking was a little challenging otherwise I will definitely stay again.

Hotel manager never wanted to work anything out but they take money from extended stay customers. He wanted his daughter to “ work” and have her opportunity to get a good laugh, assuming I would argue with him when he asked me to leave; I had booked late a few times over a 90 day period and waits after the New Year to make a kick about it. He kept wanting me to stand around after I swiftly agreed-thanks to Trip.com- to move to another room with the same motel chain close by, called & told them “trip.com informed me you denied my booking, I’m coming to gather my things,” they all lied on the phone and had me standing there for 45 mins -1.5 hour instead of giving me access to go get my stuff. My husband got this room before he knew me and my daughter was going to come stay. He works out of town here. He got this hotel to try and save a little money while working here for the next few months and me and my daughter decided we would come stay a week or 2 and after 2 night my daughter started coughing horribly and I couldn’t figure out why so I brought her to the dr where she tested negative for everything and I decided to scope out the room and found that one of the pillows is covered in mold and the other in sweat or something idk the other pillow is very discolored. My daughter is very allergic to mold and this pillow she has been sleeping with is covered in mold. My children and I recently stayed at Motel 6 on I-55 Frontage Rd in Jackson after losing power during the winter storm. While the room initially appeared clean, I later discovered cigarette butts underneath the air conditioner that had clearly been left by a previous occupant. There were also significant electrical issues in the room. The only working outlet was located on the vanity. The outlet behind the desk was already occupied by the television, refrigerator, and microwave. The bedside table outlets were not operational, which meant the hotel phone, reading lights, USB ports, and additional plugs did not function.
