Monticello Inn

The most disgusting place and experience I have ever had. The first room we got when we arrived smelt terrible and the bathroom and shower were so disgusting, so we asked for a new room. This second room had a similar smell but it seemed much cleaner, so we took it. The first night was fine, however, the second night, as we were eating we saw a mouse run behind the fridge. Upon requesting a new room or refund AGAIN (as it was 9:30pm), they placed in a room they claimed had “just been cleaned”. When we walked it, it seemed as if someone JUST left. The beds were not done and full of crumbs, with sheets and blankets on the floor. There were also dirty, used towels on the couch, in which they again claimed were all cleaned.. This place was so bad, we just packed our things and left. There were undetermined stains on the bed cover, the chair bottom was falling out, the inoperable air conditioner looked like it had been attacked and the door handle fell off when we entered! Even getting out was scary. The outside balcony floor was buckling.

Positive: Nothing !! Negative: Yes the towels were all dirty , The bed also bathroom was dirty !! Never against —

If I knew my wife booked this hotel, I would’ve stopped her. I walked in and I was mortified. The bathroom was a whole situation where mold was growing in every single corner within the view of the eye. We had to strip the beds because we realized it wasn’t cleaned properly. Don’t even mention the towels…there were stains on them. Please look at the hotel right across the street, it may be worth it to just spend a bit more for comfort.

Stayed here a few weeks ago and actually spent the entire night. Water was not running in the bathroom when I first got to the room. Bathroom looked ROUGH. Had a hard time sleeping because of some odor that just burned the nostrils - probably smoke. The guy at the counter did actually say that he'd refund the room if there were issues with it, but I was eventually able to sleep.
