Modern Hotel

This hotel exceeded my expectations. A mid-century modern motel coverted from a Travelodge. It still looks like a Travelodge but with a funky vibe. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was better than most hotels I've stayed in -- the dial to turn it on is located on the side of the stall -- genius! I received a goody bag upon arrival with some essentials and a local snack. Continental breakfast every morning sustained me until indulging on any of the delicious local restaurants in town. I also enjoyed using the complimentary bicycle that comes with a helmet and a lock. The hotel is on the edge of downtown by two blocks so the bike was useful to get to the opposite end; otherwise, just a twenty minute walk to the zoo and merely 7 to get to the heart of the city. What an absolute gem of a hotel!! We got the king suite with the soak tub and wow... The bathroom was huge and relaxing! The rooms are also so incredibly comfy and clean, the staff was very friendly and sweet, the food at the restaurant is some of the best of the bestest dishes we've ever had, the cocktails were perfection, and the whole vibe of the place is amazing. I love the entire aesthetic of the hotel and, honestly, this is one of my most favorite stays ever. They are incredibly dog-friendly, too! Plenty of parking in both the front and back where the mural is, and the outdoor sitting area is mighty cozy. 1000/10 for sure! I just checked out of a relaxing two-night stay and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough! It’s so cute and the service is impeccable, with breakfast included. I had a dinner here as well, and the food and cocktails were genuinely delicious! This is walkable to all of downtown, it’s quiet and safe, and I will ALWAYS stay here!

Such a lovely stay at the Modern. Simple, modern decor and a comfortable no-frills kind of lodging. Having quiches for breakfast instead of the boring continental was a really nice touch. Cocktails at the bar were some of the best we had around town. Appreciate the attentiveness of the staff. Price was great and location is still convenient to downtown...we walked everywhere.

Stayed here for a work conference and had an amazing experience! All the staff were very attentive during check-in and check-out process, you even get a cute little amenities bag with an Idaho Spud in it! (iykyk) The room was cute, clean, and chic! The main point of interest I want to make here is the bar/restaurant space they have in the lobby. I had probably a top 5 meal of my life there, I'm not even being hyperbolic. Whoever is running the kitchen back there, bravo! I can't wait to come back and visit again soon!
