Bogus Basin Ski Resorts, Weather & Snow Report

We have skied, & snow boarded here for 30+ years. One thing we have enjoyed is the starlight snowshoeing event. We always thought they should have summer recreational activities. Now that they do, we are trying to plan day trips here. The glade runner is fun in the snow. As is the fire pits. I would appreciate more areas for family members who do not ski. But would like to be here for family who do. Otherwise, fun outdoor Recreation area in Idaho. I reccommend when there is good snowfall.

Bogus Basin is an absolute gem—even in the summer! We took a scenic drive up the mountain (which alone is worth the trip), and were rewarded with incredible views, fresh mountain air, and a wide variety of outdoor activities. The summer weather was perfect, and the whole area had a relaxed, peaceful energy that made for a fantastic day. We rode the Morning Star Express lift and were blown away by the panoramic views from the top—lush trees, winding trails, and endless blue skies. The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster is a must-do, offering a fun and thrilling ride through the trees. There’s also a multi-level ropes course, rock climbing wall, and plenty of mountain biking trails for all experience levels. I love going in the summer to Bogus Basin because I don’t ski. But I hope to do some snow shoeing this winter. My sons and husband love to ski there in the winter. I wish the trails on the mountain were better marked for hikers. Saw lots of mountain bikers there as well! Loved the vibe down at the bottom. Listened to live music and had a bite to eat. The mountain scenery was beautiful.

This resort is breathtaking in winter, especially the amazing mountain views, with the snow, the lights, the people and their activities. The cold was also not playing😁so go there well prepared with warm clothing. I didn’t go there to ski or engage in any winter activity. I was there to watch, see and enjoy the scenery by driving/walking around and it was amaziiiiiiiing. Had fun.

an awesome experience, I had about 3-4 hrs to kill n headed out here. So glad that I did, couldn't have asked for a better day or a better place to enjoy my last few hrs of this trip, in Boise.
