Creekside Campground Idaho City

Hidden gem campground! Lovely space, nice facilities, creek and swimming hole to relax in all day, free range chickens, huge tree swing. Right down the road from Idaho City (recommend eating at Trudy’s). Gayle is a LOVELY host. Must stay. We loved it.

We had our wedding here over Labor Day weekend and it was absolutely perfect! It’s a beautiful place for a wedding and the campground made it that much better. Sitting and hanging in the creek was a highlight for everyone too. Gayle was wonderful and so helpful with the whole process! Could not have asked for a better experience!

Terrible night. My tent campsite had a street light blazing all night long. There was no place to put a tent on this site where it didn't seem like you were on stage for the dancing with the Stars finale. Ended up sleeping in my car with the sunshades all around me to block out the light. In addition there are street noises all night because this camp ground is right next to the highway. Camp sites are small and close together. The only good thing about this camp ground is the closeness to downtown, which isn't much of a benefit when you really wanted to sleep.

Attended a wedding there on 9/6 and was beyond impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the place. I have driven by many times on the way to Idaho City, but had never stopped there. The campsites looked very nice as well! A+

My wife Janie and I just stayed, had a great experience. Amazing hospitalty. The campground is beautiful and clean with clean rest rooms. Access to the creek and mountain trails. Highly recommended.
