Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocean City

Didn't mind the location, the man at desk front desk was very nice. However, I drove 3 hours away with my husband and our 1 year old and had to leave at 12am because the bed and walls had big stains on them and no one was there to clean that night or offer us extra sheets. I reported this to the manager Kim and she denied my refund request. I thought the room set up was really nice and neat at first but once i really explored, I couldn't take it.

Absolute mess! I booked two rooms. They reserved three for me. Ultimately, I didn't need them. I first cancelled one onliine. All good. The a few days later I realized I didn't need any of them. When I called to cancel the other one they informed me it was two. So, phew, I was glad I called but cancelled both by calling the hotel directly. Whatever happened the rooms never got cancelled. Cut to one week before the reservation, they charge my credit card. I called THAT NIGHT but the hotel clerk told me I had to call back tomorrow and speak with a manager. Fair enough. I call back. They will not BUDGE on a refund. Even though I explained that I cancelled by phone and even sent them a screen shot of my four minute conversation to their front desk well within the time frame. As I have seen at many of the hotel locations, desk staff appeared under trained and less then enthusiastic about there job. Breakfast facilities were a little less then perfect, and needed attention. Desk clerk on second day hadn't set up a second pot of coffee. Pancake maker not working, toaster not working, I could see if the hotel was packed to capacity, but just the opposite was the case. I will forward this info to the company we made reservations with and let them deal with it. The facility seemed clean but follow up to insure all guests were taken care of in a timely manner. Don't advertise that certain facilities sre available and then not follow through! Being out of season is no excuse!

I gave 4 stars only because the breakfast sucks waffle everyday and I'm big on breakfast it's the most important meal of the day ya dig. However the rooms are very clean and pretty good I would stay here again the location is great just a few minutes drive to the boardwalk where all the action is over all pretty good despite the breakfast issue ya dig!!!!!!!!
