Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Matthews/Charlotte

I was dubious about staying here after reading some of the other reviews. However I was nicely surprised. The hotel is clean and safe and the staff are friendly. Rooms are quite small by American standards but quite adequate. My room was serviced daily with fresh sheets and towels every day, something I haven’t experienced in years. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants budget accommodation near Charlotte, Matthews or Monroe.||Only one downside is breakfast which is a bit limited

Positive: Simple, easy and to the point! Clean comfortable room with a great staff. Negative: It is a little hard to navigate from the highway.

I came from Connecticut and wanted something close to the hospital. I was not disappointed with this Microtel.I don't know about some of the reviews, but then again you can't please everyone. I found the room to be immaculate the sheets the towels and washcloths everything was pure White. There were no bugs it does have a refrigerator and a microwave and a continental breakfast. Jack at the front desk was a pleasure and very informative and helpful, not to mention funny too. People complaining about the size of the room it's a perfect size you're not staying at the Taj mahal,it serves its purpose. People complained about the bathroom to me it was immaculate I have no complaints. My only complaint is that the pillows were too firm!

What a dump. The room itself was ok- clean enough, moderately comfortable. But EVERYTHING is so outdated and nearly broken. The room door handle was loose and about to fall off. The bathroom door handle was the same. The bathroom door was also warped and made a terrible noise when opening or closing it, so it woke others up during the night. The lighting is garish. The hallways and elevator smell awful and you get the feeling you don’t want to touch anything outside of your room cause it’s so nasty. Stains everywhere. Surprisingly, the breakfast was decent for what it was. Mostly carbs, but a good variety and decent coffee. If you just need a quick stop to sleep it’s ok, but try one of the other hotels in the area if you’re staying for any length of time.

I stayed in the 310 it was a super clean and cozy room. It was small but I was fine with it since it was a short stay. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE I slept very well. I did book the room with points but would’ve happily paid for the room there. The property was quiet and the staff were very friendly!
