Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Joplin

Worst microtel have stayed at. Didn't have spare roll of toilet paper in room and roll almost out. No kleenex. Breakfast was terrible , cold eggs and it was when just started at 6am. Limited condiments. Didn't have enough plates. Coffee was warm water, offered hot water but no tea bags of any kind.

We spent 3 nights. Housekeeping didn't make up our room, pull trash, replace towels or toiletries, ice bucket liners or cups. The breakfast options were extremely limited with cereal, bagels and coffee. I will say that the front desk people were friendly and were quick to get us fresh towels and toiletries upon request. Parking was plentiful and the water pressure was great.

Positive: "" Negative: They had no breakfast, no secured outside door, no hot water, the hotel was ripped up everywhere. Was never told of this on securing the room. Charged me another fee for pet. No compensation for any of their inconveniences.

Very poor service. I booked this room for my son and his family while they were in town for a funeral. They were informed they could not use the bathtub, only the shower. Traveling with an infant and a 2-year-old, this was completely impractical. There was no hot water, and no breakfast, despite breakfast being advertised. When these issues were brought up, the owner was extremely rude and told them, “If you don’t like it, you can leave.” The excuse given was that the property is under renovation. If that is the case, guests should be clearly informed before booking, or the property should be closed until basic amenities are fully functional. I would not recommend staying here, especially for families or during an already difficult time.

Love the renovations and improved rooms. The breakfast could be a tad better but I enjoyed it. The wifi kept logging me on and off made work difficult. Hopefully they get that worked out. Other than that I like their.
