Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia/At Fort Jackson

Everything was great until morning... When you realize how often the walls are... The rooms were clean and comfortable. The heat and AC able to be adjusted for comfort. Parking was okay though small trucks with trailers were blocking all of the front spots.

Very comfortable hotel stay. Worth the tune and money. No pools or gun, but there are local gyms available. Eatery and shopping within walking distance distance. Located behind the Cookout Restaurant. Snack bar (like a convient store.. ie cup soups, chips drinks etc..) is located behind the front desk with decent prices. Continental breakfast, but some of it is charged.

I think that some of the posted photos are either old or of a different Microtel. At any rate, we chose this establishment because they had decent ratings and required low points for a free night. It served our purposes. Food was minimal but more than "a donut or old danish". They had a waffle maker, muffins, bagels, fruit, and cereal (as well as some danish). Our room was clean and bed was comfortable.|FYI: The signage wasn't great and the road to the driveway is behind the Waffle House.

I dont understand how a big hotel does not have any towels at 7504 Garners Ferry Rd in Columbia, SC. They had no towels on the weekend and management acted like it was normal and didnt offer any resolution to solve the problem. Nice room, soft bed with refrigerator and microwave and alot of truck drivers are there for training so good location because food places like cookout are nearby. But other than that this hotel is not for long stays just a quick in and out because you have to pay $4 for breakfast, a muffin and orange juice. And no weight room or pool thats why it is a cheaper price. Wifi does not work. Please improve for the next customers. Thank You.

Positive: The front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival! The next morning staff... not so much Negative: The floors in our room were disgusting. I thought I was going to slip and fall at one point. I also got the ironing board out, but left it alone as soon as I unfolded it. It appeared to have mold and some little black bugs crawling on it.
