Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Columbia/Fort Jackson N

I stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbia/Fort Jackson N for a short visit, and it was just what I needed—cozy, clean, and convenient. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The room itself was decent and well-equipped for the price, with amenities that met my needs without any fuss.||The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which added a welcoming touch to the stay. I also appreciated how neat and well-maintained the grounds were—it gave the whole property a peaceful, cared-for feel. The location was a bonus: within walking distance to several restaurants and not far from the destination I needed to access. Overall, a solid choice for a restful, budget-friendly stay.

I stayed here 3 days and would not recommend this place to anyone Housekeeping came and took used towels from our room but did not replace them and did not clean the room. We ended up having to request linens and make the bed ourselves. Staff was not polite and looked at us strange every time we came in as if we were trespassing. We requested clean towels due to lack of housekeeping and we were told they only had 1 towel left. Some people got into a fight in the hallway outside of our room and they left behind some clothes. Housekeeping took 2 days to remove the clothes from the hallway. Hallways also smelled unpleasant. AWFUL HOTEL. Two adults two infants We arrived at the hotel on our check in day, Jan 30th. We booked  a two queen bed room but were given a one bed handicap room that smelled of marijuana and smoke so after goin back and forth for an hour+ we were given a new room. The new room had mold in the bathroom and an unpleasant smell. We requested a new room, the new room smelt STRONGLY of bleach with smoke. Ultimately we decided it was best for our family to find somewhere else to stay due to the smell of smoke, strong chemical smell and the mold again we have  two babies (under the age of one) The front desk receptionist was no help to us when we asked for proof of cancellation to provide to the third party we booked with she would not provide it. Staff was excellent , I stayed for 3 nights. I had a great bed and slept well and the complimentary breakfast I always found something to eat. Very good coffee😊

So the room is ok the mirror behind the bed is pretty cool and the staff was very nice and it’s not sketchy and conveniently close to restaurants and gas stations. The only complaint and no real big deal was the crack at the bottom of my mirror behind the bed and the ice machine didn’t work. But it was ok
