I found an awesome dog-friendly swimming spot in Tahoe that’s perfect if you’re trying to avoid the crowds. It’s peaceful, super relaxing, and a great place for both humans and pups to enjoy the water. We only came for the day and used the day-use area, which was super convenient. The walk from the parking lot to the beach is short and easy. Definitely planning to come back again—it’s a hidden gem!

What a hidden gem this beach was. Almost so much that I don’t even want to post about how great it was!! The beach was empty, the water was clear, and the views are amazing! Easy parking, restrooms on site, overall great experience. We didn’t stay here only did day use but we had a blast on our paddle boards. Even mentioned that we would probably return to actually camp here!

2nd time staying. The campsite feels overcrowded and saturated, with no restrictions on the number of campers or vehicles per site. At night, it can feel more like a carnival, with bright led light and large group of partying and gathering with noise continuing until midnight. Additionally, the campground’s location next to Emerald Bay Road makes traffic noise unavoidable, with cars speeding up and down the hill throughout the day and night. Many good sites closer to beach and big pine tree are all empty all weekend. But such sites are never available on Recreation site. Overall, it’s not an ideal choice for those seeking a quiet, peaceful camping experience. Beach is definitely a must see for those who cannot ge
